The Gates of Vanity

The Gates of Vanity Newly unemployed and frustratingly directionless, Ben is lonely when his family go away. Taking in a young homeless man while he renovates his house, things quickly take a disturbing turn when a simple disagreement triggers a psychotic reaction in his guest. Held captive and broken down in a religiously-inflected cycle of abuse, Ben must discover whether he has what it takes to fight back and reclaim his life, in this powerful Hackney-based debut feature.

I star in this feature film which was an official selection at the East End Festival 2016.

The Gates of Vanity was written and directed by Suj Ahmed.
